Prince Nasser bin Abdulaziz Center for Autism was established in 1418 AH in the name of the Academy of Special Education, then it became under the supervision of the Saudi Charitable Society for Autism, officially authorized by the Ministry of Social Affairs No. 224 and date 3/7/1424 AH, then the kind approval was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz called the name of His Royal Highness Prince Nasser bin Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - at the center, which is the first model center of its kind that was built, equipped and operated in accordance with international standards as the first model center for autism in the Kingdom. The center seeks to achieve a number of goals, the most important of which is to raise the level of efficiency of programs and activities related to the protection of equal rights and opportunities and the full participation of persons with autism to integrate into society without barriers, in addition to providing education, training and rehabilitation services for young and adults with autism, as it is interested in providing quality programs aimed at discovering Their capabilities and developing them to the highest possible level. It also aims to spread public awareness about individuals with autism in society to accept them and improve the conditions that help them and help others in social interaction with them, and also its goals are to rehabilitate people with Autism by subjecting them to influential education and beneficial training for them, in addition to organizing courses and workshops for teachers, specialists and parents to contribute in preparing the workforce capable of effective participation in the education and training of children with autism, and supporting research and studies that concern people with autism by providing opportunities for researchers to apply what fits within the center .
